Car Rental in Nador for the Rif Diaspora
Built for families coming home from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Pickup at Nador Airport (NDR), at Tanger Med after the ferry, or directly at your family address in Aroui, Selouane, Bouarg or Nador city.
Krinicar is one of the few Morocco rental fleets actually based in the Rif. We deliver to Nador International Airport (NDR), to the Tanger Med ferry terminal after the crossing from Algeciras, Tarifa, Sète or Genoa, or straight to your family home, anywhere from the Marchica lagoon to Berkane, Saidia and Al Hoceima. Fleet runs from compact cars (from €26/day) to 7-seater family vans for diaspora summer trips, with ES, NL, DE, FR, AR and EN support over WhatsApp.
Nador NDR Airport & Tanger Med Ferry Pickup
Two real entry points for the Rif. Fly into Nador International (NDR), with direct routes from Brussels Charleroi, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, or cross by ferry from Algeciras, Tarifa, Sète or Genoa and pick up your rental at the Tanger Med terminal so you can take the A2 motorway straight to Nador without queuing at an airport counter. Long-stay summer rates from 14 days; August blocks usually open in January.
Airport + Ferry Pickup
Meet-and-greet at NDR Airport arrivals, or hand-off at the Tanger Med ferry terminal after the Algeciras or Tarifa crossing.
Insurance Included
Basic and Premium cover, both valid for the Tanger Med → Nador A2 motorway run and the full Rif coast.

Nador Airport car rentalHow airport pickup works at NDR
Nador International Airport (NDR), also called Nador-El Aroui, sits about 23 km south of central Nador. Pickup takes around ten minutes from the moment you reach arrivals.
- 1
Send your flight details
Share your flight number and arrival time when you book via WhatsApp. We track the flight live, so delays do not push you outside the meet window.
- 2
Meet at arrivals
Look for the Krinicar sign just outside the arrivals exit at El Aroui. WhatsApp the team if you need help locating us; we are always within a minute of the door.
- 3
Quick handover
License, passport, refundable deposit. A walk-around inspection of the car takes about ten minutes; both sides sign the condition sheet.
- 4
Drive away
N16 access runs east toward Nador and the coast or south toward Oujda. Central Nador is roughly 30 minutes by car.

Drive routes from Nador
Eastern Morocco is built around two-lane national roads. Most coastal destinations are reachable in well under three hours.
Saidia
via N16
Mediterranean beach resort with a long sandy stretch and a marina. Popular summer weekend trip from Nador.
Berkane
via N16
Citrus country, gateway to the Beni-Snassen mountains and the Zegzel gorges. A solid half-day drive.
Al Hoceima
via N16 / N2
Coastal national park drive through the Rif. Beautiful but winding, so leave early and plan for a full day.
Beni Ensar / Melilla border
via N16
Border crossing to the Spanish enclave of Melilla. Moroccan rental cars are not allowed across; park on the Moroccan side and walk through.
Local driving tips for eastern Morocco
The general rules are the same as in Tanger, but a few details apply specifically to driving around Nador.
Drive on the right
Morocco drives on the right. Your national license is accepted; an International Driving Permit is helpful at checkpoints.
Speed limits
60 km/h in town, 100 km/h on rural roads, 120 km/h on motorways. Limits drop sharply on village approaches, so watch for the signs.
Two-lane N-roads
Nador’s surroundings are mostly two-lane national roads. Overtaking takes patience; lorries climbing the Rif slow traffic on the Al Hoceima route.
Police checkpoints
Gendarmerie checkpoints are routine on N16. Slow down, keep license, passport, and rental papers in the glove box.
Heat in summer
Eastern Morocco can climb above 35 °C in July and August. Carry water and check tyre pressures before long drives.
No cross-border rentals
Krinicar vehicles cannot cross into Melilla. If you are catching a ferry from Beni Ensar, ask us about a city-center handover instead.
Where to return your car
Default drop-off is at NDR airport, included in the price. We can adjust if your plans change last-minute.
Nador International (NDR)
Hand-back at arrivals during your scheduled return window. Allow about 15 minutes for the inspection and deposit release.
Central Nador or Beni Ensar
Share your address by WhatsApp and we coordinate a meet point: the corniche, your hotel, or the ferry queue at Beni Ensar.
One-way to Tanger
One-way drops at Tanger Ibn Battuta (TNG) are available with prior notice; a one-way fee applies.
